Generator Service (Emergency Generators)
Just as important as your primary electrical system is your back-up Generator system. Privair Mechanical has already developed an all-inclusive service package that will ensure its functionality if and when it's ever called upon for service. It includes an Annual, and Semi-annual service inspection as well as Load Bank Testing. Here's what's included:
Inspection of Generator Brushes, Switch Gear, Slip Rings, Rotor Bearings and Main Breaker. This is coupled with preventative maintenance parts replacement of Air Filters, Fuel Filters, Oil Filters. The oil is cleaned and replaced annually to ensure complete functionality.
We inspect the engine including coolant, fuel, exhaust, oil, air and electrical systems.
The Fuel Delivery System is checked, including fuel tank, fuel transfer pump and oil level (if applicable).
A Building Load Test is conducted. This normally takes approximately half an hour and is done during regular working hours, when there is more usage under way.
Load Bank Testing
We conduct full load tests, as per CSA Code C282-M89 with load bank (if necessary) to assure complete functionality and reliability and that the system meets or exceeds code requirements.
An annual certificate is issued, in accordance with CSA Code C282-M89 once the test is completed and the system meets compliance requirements.
